Buying a Half or Whole Local Pasture Raised Beef
We often receive questions about buying a whole, half or quarter of one of our locally raised Angus beeves.  The following information should be help if you are considering this program.  Please contact us if you have questions 336-598-5835 or rccbeef@gmail.com .
Beef Pricing and Cuts for large quantities of beef.
Whole beef = $5.75 / pound
Half beef = $6.00 / pound
Quarter beef = $6.25 / pound
1100 pound live weight steer, this is the approximate pounds of beef:
Whole beef = 370 pounds
Half beef = 185 pounds
Quarter beef = 92 pounds
Meat from a typical half beef (1,000-1,200 pounds live weight) consists approximately:
80-100 pounds ground beef
4 packages soup bones
8 packages of stew beef (1 lb.)
4 pot (arm) roasts (2.5 – 3 lbs.)
6 chuck roasts (2.5 – 3 lbs.)
2 rump roasts (2.5 – 3 lbs.)
2 sirloin tip roasts (2.5 – 3 lbs.) or 4 sirloin tip steaks
6 sirloin steaks (1 in. thick)
6 round steaks (1 in. thick)
10 ny strip steaks (cut 1 in. thick)
14 ribeye steaks (cut 1 in. thick)
4 filet mignons (cut 1.5 in. thick)
4 cube steak

The number of cuts listed above would be approximately cut in half for a quarter of beef.
